Your initial new dental patient appointment will consist of a thorough evaluation from Dr. Pete Richards or Dr. Danielle Rowland and a highly trained staff member. The evaluation will discuss TMJ, an oral cancer screening, check the way your teeth fit together when you bite together, check for missing teeth, existing restorations or decay and the health of your gum tissue.
Please alert the dental office if you have a medical condition that may be of concern prior to treatment (i.e. diabetes, high blood pressure, artificial heart valves and joints, rheumatic fever, etc.) or if you are on any medication (i.e. heart medications, aspirin, anticoagulant therapy, etc.) or require medication prior to dental cleanings (i.e. antibiotics for pre-med.)
X-Rays
If your previous dental provider has taken x-rays within the past twelve months, you may request they be emailed or to our office prior to your initial visit. The quality and number of x-rays submitted will allow the doctor to determine if additional x-rays are necessary for an accurate examination and diagnosis.
